C’ville Strength Workout: Saturday 11/10

Get inspired: Pyrros Dimas (Greece, -85kg) and Marc Huster (Germany, -85kg) battle it out at 1998 European Weightlifting Championships. Huster wins gold with a 382.5kg Total (but Dimas comes back to take gold later that year at World’s).

  1. Well, participation ribbon for me…

    -5 lb on both snatch and clean. Did c&j after, just form practice as I haven’t been focusing on the jerk.

    Only win for today was I PRd my squat snatch, which is about +20# since I left Cville. My ability to catch in a nice looking squat is slowly improving. Sloooowly.

  2. Snatch: 85lbs!!! (with proper form too! heaviest since getting the boot off)
    C&J: 105lbs!!!! new PR!!! Yay!
    I guess we’re supposed to add them for a total: 190lbs / 86kg – that’s right around Elizabeth’s C&J! haha! puts it all in perspective 🙂

  3. snatch: 75 kg (pr + 3 kg)
    clean and jerk: 95 kg (missed 100 kg a few times)
    bodyweight: 86 kg (pr… haha)

    I’ve been messing around with carb back loading: http://www.carbbackloading.com/ in an effort to gain mass while staying lean. Any “diet” where you can eat a pint of ice cream at night for “mass gain” is cool by me!
