C’ville Strength Workout: Monday 12/10

  • back squat 90% x1x3
  • snatch 60%x2, 70%x2, 80%x1x2, 85%x1
  • three rounds of: band pull-aparts x15-20 and band monster walks x20
  • work on mobility and myofascial issues

You all will be unloading this week in preparation for maxing on Sunday (the 16th or Monday (the 17th).  All of the strength programming for this week has reduced volume and intensity in order to allow you to recover.  You also need to taper the amount of metabolic CrossFit workouts that you do this week.  In general, we recommend cutting your volume in half: that means either do half the number of workouts that you would normally do per week, or cut the volume of each workout by 50% (or both).  This major reduction in training volume is imperative for you to recover sufficiently to set new PRs on Sunday and Monday.
