C’ville Strength Workout: Sunday 12/16

You’ve all worked hard these past 5 weeks. Time to cash in:

  • max snatch
  • max clean & jerk

Compare to November 10th’s Oly Total and November 11th’s Oly Total.

  1. first time picking up a barbell in a week since my 5-day fast…

    142kg Total (66 snatch, 76 C&J… just missed the jerk at 81 and then was tired so I stopped and went to eat food instead).

    Not PRs by any means, but felt great and better than I expected after the fast. Excited to see what happens in 2013!

  2. Snatch: worked up to 52 kg. John helped me a lot with some of the problems I’ve been having with my form. The next time will go better.

    Clean and Jerk went fairly well, PR’d at 75 kg, and managed to clean at 77 kg twice.

  3. Snatch: 85lbs (previous PR)
    C&J: 110lbs new PR!!!
    new start position: hands wide, knees out, feet parallel. get torque!
    need to work on donkey kicks and other things (like squats!) to get my hamstrings tighter/stronger
