Week 2 of the Front Squat Cycle begins with:
CLUSTERS (compare to 6/12/13)

  • snatch cluster @85-90% x[1-1-1] x3 (20sec rest between reps, 3min rest between sets)
  • clean & jerk cluster @85-90% x[1-1-1] x3 (20sec rest between reps, 3min rest between sets)
  • 1¼ front squat @70% x4 x4

Less thinking, more lifting. You’ve worked the technique through the week, now go and let your body apply it.

GOALS: What are they? A body-weight snatch? Add 10kg to your squat? Fix some technique? Write them down and get after it!

THANKSGIVING SCHEDULE: Wednesday 11/25 class will be at 5:30. The gym is closed Thursday and Friday, back to normal Saturday.

    Clean & Jerk cluster @70 kg x[1-1-1] x3
    1¼ front squat @ 70 kg x4 x4

    Stood on 5 kg plates with the balls of my feet over the edge during warm ups, and it fixed my forward jump. Hallelujah
