  • close grip overhead squat 3 x 5 (bar weight)
  • Bulgarian split squat 4 x 8 (per leg)
  • mobilize your hips

    Close grip OHS w/ PVC working for depth and coming wayyy forward

    Squats felt kind of tough, but not hellish. I was tired after each set but recovered fine in between. Hips got a little tight in the afternoon – another round of lax ball smashing and couch stretching helped.

    Been thinking I ought to set a flexibility/mobility goal for myself for 2014. Being able to sit into a close grip OHS to full depth with something a bit more substantial than a piece of PVC might be a good place to start.

  2. 90k on squats
    35 lb DBs on 1st half of Bulgarian and 25lb on 2nd half

    Ended up with back spasms after the workout which is why I wasn’t there on Monday. I’m not sure if it was the 6×6 or the close grip squats.
