Old Rag Hike!

If you didn’t see this on the CrossFit Charlottesville website or Facebook, come out and join us for a day of hiking at Old Rag Mountain tomorrow, Sunday, October 19th! This is one of the most popular hiking trails in the area with amazing views and a fun rock scramble!   RSVP on Facebook

If you want to carpool plan to be at the gym by 8:30am so we can get to the trail by 9:30am and have lunch at the top. So please remember to dress accordingly for the day and to bring drinks, snacks, and a lunch with you. There is a parking lot area designated near the start of the trail, but as it is a popular trail carpooling is encouraged.

SATURDAY STRENGTH WORKOUT

  • Snatch, 87/2×3, 92/1×2
  • Squat, 80/2×6
  • Clean, 82/2×3
  • Shoulder press, 70/11×4
  • Weighted planks – 3 sets of 30s

  1. Snatch – 48, 51 (The 48s were smooth, but the 51s got a little ragged and I was catching them in a really wide stance)
    Squat – 100
    Clean – 60 (added a couple of kilos but they still felt good and smooth)
    Press – 33 (these were tough)
    Plank – 50 (manageable but not pleasant)

    Been tired. Lacked intensity and motivation all week.
